I'm Back... For A Few Days That Is...
Sorry guys. I left for BMT without a word. I spent the last few hours of my time as a civilian with Jen, that's why I didn't write anything here.
Anyway, I'm back. Yup. Back for a long weekend before going for my field camp and all those shit next week. I'm going back to Tekong on Sunday and I'll be staying there for 14 fucking days, 7 of which is outfield crap. I won't be able to call Jen during those days. That's sad. Hope she'll be fine without me. Hope she'll wait for me.
If you guys read her blog, you guys should have known that I kinda asked her if she would marry me. Haha. Yeah, I'm quite serious about it. Those days in Tekong made me realise that I can't lose her.
Ok. I'll end here. I'll be spending all my time on mainland with Jen, until I go back on Sunday, so you guys won't really hear much from me these few days. I'll write more when I come back for Chinese New Year.
End...

Metrosexuality VS Homosexuality...
I'm really pissed off when people misunderstand metrosexual guys as homosexual guys, also known as gays. Come on people, get a clear understanding man.
Metrosexual guys are straight guys who take care of themselves. According to www.wordspy.com, metrosexual means an urban male with a strong aesthetic sense who spends a great deal of time and money on his appearance and lifestyle. So you see, there's no indication that metrosexual guys are gays. They just want to have a better appearance and way of life than an average male. Some go to the extreme, like doing manicure and pedicure, but they all have the goal of looking better and living better.
Homosexual, on the other hand, refers to a person who has a sexual orientation to persons of the same sex, as given by www.dictionary.com. That's the gays you guys are thinking of. It's an inside thing. The gays may not take good care of their appearances but they have the desire to get screwed in the ass or sodomise someone. Metrosexuals don't. Metrosexuality is more of an exterior thing.
I, personally, feel offended when people refer metrosexuals as gays. I gotta admit, I'm metrosexual to a certain extent. I try not to damage my hair, I use facial masks and facial products, I love cleanliness, I can't take it if I don't shave and blah blah blah... I don't go for manicures, pedicures or spa treatments, at least not yet, but I do consider myself somewhat of a metrosexual, so please differentiate between the two.
I remember telling a friend that I'm kinda metrosexual.
"Hey, I'm metrosexual in a sense."
"Huh? You metrosexual? Eeww... You are gay!"
And so the explaining started.
I was very offended then, not only because was I described as a gay, but because a friend looked at me with huge bulging eyes as if an alien was in front of him. Come on dude! There is nothing wrong with metrosexuality, buck up on your English. I'm kinda sick explaining metrosexuality all the time. And as far as I know, girls nowadays dig metrosexual guys, so if you wanna get laid, get your idea that "Metrosexual guys are gays" outta your head and embark on the path of metrosexuality.
Damn, this topic always drives me crazy.

This Is MY Blog...
I seem to always type my entries in the middle of the night. Maybe that's when I'm not so restless and am willing enough to sit down quietly in front of the computer to blog.
Anyway, this entry is to tell everyone something. THIS IS MY BLOG. I decide on everything here. I set the rules, I write what I wanna write, and I pass the verdicts. Yes, some entries are out to entertain people, but that doesn't mean I'm obliged to please everyone.
I love porn, you got a problem with that? I hate Harry Potter, what are you gonna do about it? You can show your support for that little sucker, so I can show my detest for him too. When I say it sucks, it sucks. At least in my world it sucks. So unless you are me, there's no win-win situation here.
Get it?

Top 10 Movies Of 2004...
Saw a report on the top 10 movies of 2004. That means the 10 most watched movies by Singaporeans. Let's take a look at them.
10th - Van Helsing
Well, what can I say about this film? It's just like every other sci-fi flicks with flashy computer generated animations. The computer generated monster, however, are rather pleasing to the eyes. Nice one. The story's quite ok. The producers managed to pack many monster into this film but you won't feel many things missing. However, there are comments that the main character's outfit is rather similar to that of the character in the animation 'Vampire Hunter D'.
Coincidence? Or discreet plagiarism?
9th - The Passion Of The Christ
I haven't watched this. You see, I'm not a Christian. I know, I know what you are saying. "Non-Christians can watch this too." But I'm just not interested. Heard it's kinda violent and it spurred quite a debate. Different people have different interpretations of the movie as well as the Bible. Oh well...
8th - The Best Bet
What can I say? Jack Neo sure did it again. Although he made the Liang Po Po films seem like some over used rags (We have been watching that fake old woman since we're kids and he still made 2 films outta it), this film sure saved the local film industry. This film appeals to the heartlanders, which I believe is the main reason why it's one of the top 10 movies of 2004. Ridiculously entertaining. Catch it if you haven't, but be warned that it's mostly in Hokkien, so you'll have quite a hard time catching what they say if you don't understand Hokkien.
7th - Troy
Ah... This is a good film. Told the tale of how Troy fell. Portrayed Achilles as a fearless and powerful warrior, Hector as a good leader and good brother and Paris as a weak coward. It's really nice and it appeals to me because I love Greek mythologies. I remember this film made many of my classmates start reading up on Greek mythologies.
6th - Kung Fu Hustle
This film made it to the top 10 despite the fact that it was aired in the last few weeks of 2004. Amazing feat there. Was kinda disappointed with it because it's not funny as I expected it to be. Yes, there were a few slapsticks but those are old stuffs that have been re-used for like a million times. I don't know why, perhaps because we are now older and don't find the jokes funny no more, or maybe his best film buddy Wu Meng Da was absent from the film, but this film just ain't funny to me. It's plot is quite absurb too. However, I still recommend it to everyone. Watch it for the visual effects, don't expect a good laugh. Rumour has it that Stephen Chow has plans on making a sequel to this film.
5th - Shrek 2
This is one good animation. The characters were well made and the voice acting was superb. Its witty jokes will make anyone laugh. Few sequels actually outdo the first film. This film is one of them. The story's good too, incorporating various characters from various fairytales at various times to make the film entertaining. And who can forget the classice scene where the Puss In Boots gave such a cute expression?
4th - The Day After Tomorrow
Doesn't the poster remind you of the tsuami? This film has no big stars because all the money was used to get the effects done, and I must say the effects are really well done. The blizzard and the waves all felt so real that I felt really depressed after the film. I began to think about the future. Will we become like the people in the film? This film will make you ask yourself BIG questions.
3rd - The Incredibles
This film is extremely entertaining and funny. Suitable for the whole family. The animations are well done. The plot is nice and the characters are cute. I'm running outta words to describe this film. It's really nice. Just go catch it.
2nd - Harry Potter & The Prisoner Of Azkaban
Personally, I hate Harry Potter films. I don't know why, I just don't like them. I think they are lame. I think they are childish (although you can argue that I watched The Incredibles and Shrek 2). I just don't see what the hype is all about. Screw Harry Potter. Haha.
1st - Spiderman 2
This is the most watched film by Singaporeans in 2004, and I don't see anything wrong with that. Spiderman is like every boy's hero. He is the favourite superhero of the Americans. Maybe because he is vulnerable like everyone and not unbeatable like Superman. Anyway, this film is really awesome. The computer generated moves are so well integrated into the film that you won't even notice anything odd. Also, Kristen Dunst's so beautiful in the film, which she plays a self-sacrificing character. A must for everyone.
Now we've looked the top 10 movies of the year, we'll look at some of the blockbuster flops of the year.
Shark Tale
This film is good and it's one of the top ten films of the year until Kung Fu Hustle came. This film is mildly funny and the characters are designed to look like their voice actors. Well, I guess that wasn't enough. It still got killed by Stephen Chow. Now who's the Sharkslayer? Haha.
New Police Story
Jackie Chan finally went back to the Hong Kong film industry and made the highly anticipated New Police Story. The story revolves around a disheartened top cop making his way back as the country's best again. In this film, he still has his signature big nose (as if he can do anything about it) and really bad hair. Despite the help of heart-throb Nicholas Tse and the cute Charlene Choi, this film still didn't make it into the top 10. This is the greatest flop of all, I think.
Resident Evil: Apocalypse
I thought this movie was cool. With the hot Milla in it, I thought this was gonna make it big. I was wrong. I guess there really isn't many Resident Evil fans around in little Singapore, or maybe people are just sick of silly horror films that are really not horrifying at all. I think this is more of an action flick. The monsters were quite well animated, but not good enough. There may be a sequel to this, but it'll take more than the T-Virus to revive this franchise. So there goes this costly movie.
So that sums up this entry. Hope it's informative and isn't boring you guys out. To anyone that made it this far, thank you for your time. Haha.

Bad News...
This is bad news. I mean BAD news. Taiwan's researchers pointed out in today's papers that the next earthquake and tsunami may hit Taiwan. That's gonna suck. Estimated death toll is 5 million. That's more than Singapore's population. Damn. May it doesn't mean that much to you, but just imagine your 5566, Energy, Jay, Jolin and other stars gone. Now do you sense the seriousness of it?
Sigh... What is the world turning into?

More Of The Tsunami...
Damn it. This whole tsunami thing is really making me sad. The death toll has been rising and rising. It's estimated to be 150 thousand lives lost, but the exact figures will take months to calculate. I believe it will be much more than that. Yes, there are people who survived, miraculously. But the joy they bring are short-lived and limited. The family members of the dead won't feel happy even if 10 more survivors are found. The damage is done, and it's great indeed.
Anyway, some environmentalist or prophet predicted that the killer waves will strike again either in March or August. Let's all hope it's not true, yeah? I mean, when will this stop? Isn't 150 thousand lives enough? Taking into account the property lost and the mental blow of the family members, millions of people are affected. Isn't it enough?
Another environmentalist predicts that an underwater volcano in the Atlantic Ocean may erupt soon and that will cause tidal waves that will hit England. The estimated death toll is about 1 million of that happens. Doesn't it freak you out when you think about it? I mean, let's put aside the EPL and think. 1 million people. It's a quarter of Singapore's population. If calculated in terms of Singaporeans, it means 1 in every 4 Singaporeans will die. Not to curse you guys, but if your family has 4 or more people, imagine one of them gone. Now does that freak you out?
It hurts me to see those people suffer, but I'm poor and there really isn't much I can do. I'm glad to see Singaporeans helping and donating money, especially the government opening up our ports and airbases to allow aid from all parts of the world to land here before being distributed to the affected regions. As far as I know, the affected areas' airbases and ports have been severely damged, and foreign planes and ships can't land or dock there, that's why they are using our ports and airbases.
Although there's nothing much I can do, I can still do a part in saving humanity and preventing further disasters. Reports said that the tidal waves are caused by global warming, which means everyone of us is at fault. Just because you turned on the air-conditioner unnecessarily, just because the left the TV on when you aren't watching it, just because you left the lights on when you sleep at night, you are contributing to global warming. And the most ironic thing is that the people that suffered and died in this disaster are those that do not have TV, air-conditioner, or even lights. It's just unfair. I know I sound like I'm giving a lecture and I might not have practised what I preach, but let's do it now. Save humanity. Save the future. Save ourselves.

Sick VS Porn...?
Damn it. I'm sick. No. Not in the head. Erm... Yes, it's the head, but not in the head. I'm having a fever and headache. Yup. Since yesterday, I've been feeling cold, then perspiring, then feeling cold again. My body temperature has been flip-flopping more than the footwear that goes by the same name. Hell...
Anyway, Jen came over yesterday to cook me porridge while I rested. Ate some and watched TV with her until around 8pm. My fever was a little better by then. Then, we went to Jurong Point to get a pair of glasses. You know, those black, stupid-looking glasses with ultra thick frames. Yeah, I'm gonna get that. You think I like that? To hell with you. I'm getting that only because I need it when I go to Tekong on Saturday. Damn. That thought freaks me out.
We were heading for JP because I have this birthday voucher from NTUC. It's a $150 voucher for Optical Point. Reached there only to find that it's closed. Fuck. Went to Clementi to get the glasses. Went there because Katherine, Jen's secondary school friend, was working there and she would give us a discount. Managed to get it done. I'll be able to get it by Friday. There was this night market in Clementi, so we walked around. I assumed I was better, so we bought some heaty junk food. Guess I wasn't that well yet. Felt the fever come back after eating them. Sent her home after that and got home to shower. I was told to shower with cold water, which I did and found myself fucking shivering when I got out of the bathroom. Damn, it's really cold. Finished my previous blog entry and chatted with Jen for a while. The headache's quite bothersome.
Anyway, I was gonna watch some porn when Jen called. She being on the phone and the presence of the headache kinda deterred me from watching. I told her that and she asked me why guys like to watch porn. Well, I don't know because I haven't really thought of that question. Maybe it's the thrill of seeing a gal nude? Or maybe because the pornstars always seem to have flawless bodies? I don't know why I watch them either. I'm not that horny, and most certainly not always horny, so why the fuck do I watch them? Hmm...
I believe I am compelled to watch them. Compelled by boredom. I watch them not really for the 'kick', although sometimes it is, but mostly to kill time. I mean, don't you guys ever turn on the computer and find that nothing on the web really interests you? I feel that way all the time, so I find things to look at. And, like I told Jen, "It's not everyday that you get to see a gal nude." Yup. Maybe guys just want to see new, female strangers nude just to satisfy their flirty nature. It's natural I guess, natural for guys to watch porn, just like girls like to look at handsome hunks. It's in the blood, just that guys demand more,or rather, less from what they see.
Whatever, I'm breaking out in sweat now. I guess it's good for my fever. They say you get better faster if you perspire. Well, it sure is an uncomfortable way to get well, with all the sweat making me all sticky and smelly. Damn. How am I suppose to sleep on my bed like that? Never mind, I just had 2 Panadols. Going to bed.

30th - 2nd...
I haven't typed anything for the past few days. Have a lot of things to write, but I'll try to keep them short.
30th - 31st
Graduation night. Went to Leong's house with YW at around 4.30pm. Dressed up and slacked around with KJ, PW and HQ before heading off to school. The graduation thing kinda sucked. The food was ok, the prize presentation was boring, the song items by past talent time winners were so-so. We did something stupid though. Those people around my table gave the last singer a standing ovation when she finished. Caught the attention of the whole place I guess, because no one was really bothering about her. Haha.
That's the class. Sorry if the picture is too small.
Headed to the 'Stomphouse', which was really the hall, after eating. Really bad place. Bad music, bad lighting and bad atmosphere. Tried to dance but can't get myself going though. PW and Dave were, however, quite high. Haha. About 18 of us went to somewhere near NUS to have cheese prata. The clock struck 12 on the bus, which means it was the 31st, KJ's birthday. Congratulated him on the bus. Anyway, the pratas were good stuffs.
Pak and Leong going into a daze as they wait for their food.
Walked for about 40 minutes to KJ's house. His house is big. Slacked around, chatted, played cards until morning. Then we left. I got home, showered, played games and slept at around 2.30pm.
That's KJ's room, with the legs of those sleeping.
31st - 1st
The guys were meeting at Marina at 5.30pm to have steamboat, and to celebrate KJ's birthday formally. I fucking overslept. Damn. Woke up at 9.30pm. Slacked around at home. I was two and a half hours away from the new year, which was my birthday. Was comtemplating spending my birthday playing games at home when Jen called and demanded me to go out with my friends. Got outta home and headed to Esplanade, where I thought KJ and company will be. I was wrong. They were heading for Boon Lay. Fortunately, I haven't travelled too far, so I turned back and went to Boon Lay to look for them.
Kangjie cutting the cake...
Then getting his face smashed into the cake.
We stood around the stage of a countdown party in Boon Lay and watched the performances of Fiona Xie and other MediaCorp artistes. Had a minute of silence to mourn for the victims of the tsunami before counting down to the new year. The guys congratulated me just when the clock it 12. Went to have food before we all bought alcohol and got ourselves high. Did stupid things like marching on the road, shouting 'Happy New Year' to others over our mobile phones and stuffs. Haha.
On our way to my house.
Went to my house after that. Jeff, Kev, Max, HQ, KJ, Leong and YW came over. WM went home. We walked all the way to my house. Jen was already in my room as she has my house keys. We played Blackjack through the night. I won a little. I told them to bet small as we are playing for fun and not for the money. Everyone was betting $0.10 or $0.20 but someone refused to heed my advice. Leong lost over $30 to me and KJ, but he managed to half his loses in a one-on-one game with KJ. Haha.
Jen and I cleared up my room before we went to bed.
1st - 2nd
Woke up in the afternoon. Had breakfast, or lunch, or whatever you call it, with Jen before sending her home. Went home to play with the computer until the evening when Jen came over with my presents. There were loads of them. A pillow, a couple friendship band, 2 video games, a box of underwear, infrared USB adapter, a picture book of us, a birthday greeting on her OD and her mini diary. So touched that I almost cried. Haha. Tried to use the infrared USB adapter but there was some problem with it. Got kinda frustrated trying to fix it. No use. Went to bed in the night.
My presents from Jen. Quite a lot, right?
The picture book. Very sweet, right?
Woke up on the morning of the 2nd and found out that it was raining. Slacked at home the whole day before sendinh Jen home at night.
End...
