I'm Getting Old...

I seriously feel that I'm wasting my prime years doing NS. I get so sick when I think about it. To me, a teenager is someone who's age is no more than 20. An adult is when a person's in his/her 20s. A person is the 30s will be considered old in my view. I'm already at the last of my teenage years. I'm becoming an adult soon and what have I achieved? Nothing! I haven't even started university. I seriously think that I'm running outta time.

Yes, I know. Singapore needs young men like me to defend it. It's too small to have a volunteer army. But it's fucked-up that they take the best years of a guy's life away. I should be enjoying life, living it carefree, but instead, I'm carrying a rifle and running around thick forested areas like a mad wild boar. I'm not accusing anyone for the situation I'm in, it's just the system, the FUCKING system.

There's the problem of decreasing birth rates here. Why? I blame it on NS. Fuck. Guys start later with their career and other crap like that. Guys need to save up to support a family and we are all two fucking years behind, that's why guys work more and get married later and shit like low birth rates happen.

And what about the girls? Take my case for example. Jen has to wait for me to finish my NS, and that's not the end after that. I still have to study, then get a job, start saving before we can even attempt to start a family. It's the system I tell ya, the FUCKING system.

It really pisses me off. People my age or younger are making millions and what am I doing? Run around in green, with a rifle for 5 days a week, then come back during the weekends, watch some hardcore porn, jack off and go back to camp. How long will this stupid cycle continue?

Look at Wayne Rooney. That fucker's my age, but he's richer than I'll ever be.

Same goes for gals like Avril Lavigne and BoA. Even gals younger than me earn more than I do. And the gals who were in the same class as me? They'll have 2 years of head start. They'll start studying 2 years before me, start working 2 years before me and they may very well be my boss when I start working. Fuck.

Fuck. I'm really getting old. In 10 years' time, I'd be old, but I still have to serve 1 more year of NS, study 3 to 4 years and work for maybe 5 years to save up enough to start a family. I'd be an old man by then. It's the system, it's the FUCKING system.
