My Tioman Trip...

Yes, I am an unmotivated bastard who's too lazy to write about my Tioman trip. That's why I'm only writing it now, 1 week after I got back.

Ok, I reached Tioman on the afternoon of Saturday, 29th April. It was after 9 hours of travelling and I was rather tired. Got off the boat and was greeted by the beautiful mountains, clear water, sandy beaches and warm weather.

Got to our resort and changed to our beach attire. The others wanna make use of the sun and get a tan.

Our resort...

The tide was low. There's a huge rock far from the beach but because of the low tide, we managed to walk all the way to the rock. The sea bed was filled with rocks, so we had to wear slippers as we walked over.

It is possible to walk to the rock during low tide...

Sat on the huge rock for a while before heading back to the resort to shower. We had dinner at around 7.30Pm. The food there was good and cheap. We each had a dish for ourselves. I had chicken fried rice. Then we shared a few dishes, a burger, some satays, grilled stingray, french fries and drinks. Guess how much all those cost? Only 10 ringgit. Cheap, yeah?

Played mahjong till midnight. I kept on winning, but no money was involved. Too bad for me.

Woke up the next morning and went to the beach again.

Dawn...

The tide's high this time. Fucking high. We rented some snorkling gear and began to snorkle. It was damn fun. The water's so damn clear that you can see the seabed even if you swim far from the shore. You'll see different kinds of fish of different shape and sizes. It was really amazing. I swam all the way to the huge rock we were sitting the day before and found it totally submerged in the water. I can't even reach it with my feet without risking my life. The tide difference is scary.

High tide...

We played some games in the water before I went back to the resort to catch some sleep. The other crazy asses continued to tan on the beach, under the scorching hot sun.

I woke up in the evening, finding myself hurting from sunburns. Needless to say, the others suffered worse burns than me. That's why I said they are crazy asses.

Had dinner in the evening. I had 1 plate of fried Kuay Tiew, 1 bowl of noodle soup, shared fries and burger with the others. We also shared a grilled stingray. Guess what? It cost 10 ringgit each again, just like the day before.
We played mahjong again that night. This time, money was involved, but my luck wasn't there anymore, and I lost money in the end.

Woke up late the next morning due to us playing mahjong all the way till dawn. Had breakfast and started to pack up. Our boat's scheduled to arrive at 12PM. We left early and went to the jetty to wait for the boat at about 11PM. Sat there and listened to the others chat about crap like handphone tones and gym schedules. WTF...

I bought an iceball before I left. My third since I got onto the island.

Nostalgic, isn't it...?

The boat arrived late, so I had to put up with them going on about their gym crap. Hopped onto the boat and travelled for another 9 hours before I got home.
