1st Day Of Work...

Today is the day I start working in Starhub. Could not really sleep early last night, not because of anxiety, but because I'm too used to sleeping at around 3AM, so I tossed and turned in bed for some time. Woke up early in the morning.

Got dressed and left home. I left home at around 7.50AM and was worried that I could not reach my workplace by 9AM. I took a bus and then the train. It was the first time I got myself in the morning rush. Everyone everywhere was rushing. I boarded the train at Boon Lay, so I got a seat on the train, fortunately.

Arrived at my workplace at 8.40AM and walked around before I attended a brief by the HR manager. After the brief, we started our training. I found out that Ah Lam, my secondary school classmate, is in the same team as me. In fact, out of the 11 guys there, only the 2 of us are under a 9-month contract. What a coincidence. We spent the day attending training and chatting about the past.

Lam and I had lunch in PS. We ended the training at about 6.00PM. I went to Wisma Atria to buy something. Along the way, I passed by some Slavation Army asking for donations. I'm not a religious person, but I feel really fortunate to have this job that pays rather well, and, on top of that, be working together with someone I know. Something in me told me to give something back to the society, share the joy or something. I donated some money and proceeded to buy my things.

I took the train back at about 8.00PM. I found out that the crowd, though still present, was not that large during that time. However, I still do not like a slightest bit of the morning and evening rush. I still have to put up with this for months. Sigh...

Got home at 9.30PM after walking around Jurong Point a bit. Will be resting early today to prepare myself for more lessons tomorrow.
