My Birthday... 1 Week Later...

No, my birthday's not 1 week later. It was a week ago. Why am I blogging about it only after a week? Maybe because I was lazy? Maybe because I don't give a fuck? I don't really regarding my birthdays as important days, not even my 21st.

Anyway, what happened on my birthday? Well, let's start from the 31st. On the night of 31st December 2006, I spent the last few minutes of 2006 and first moment of 2007 in the theatre with Alex and company watching Deathnote 2. If you don't read the manga, then go catch it. If you do read the manga then don't, I say DON'T watch it. It deviated too far from the manga. Very disappointing adaptation.

After the movie, 5 other guys came over to my house and we gambled. Yes, we spent the first hours of 2007, the first hours of my birthday, playing mahjong and Big 2. And guess what? We played for about 12 hours non-stop, from 2am to almost 2pm. I lost $25 but I was happy. At least I know I have friends that are willing to spend New Year's Day, and my birthday, with me. It's actually the simple things in life that make a difference. Now I can tell other people that I celebrated my 21st birthday with a gambling marathon. Doesn't that sound better than people saying they spent their birthdays counting down, in chalets, having BBQs and shit like that?

Now, what presents did I receive on my 21st birthday? I received a new desktop, a lunch treat and a pair of Levi's jeans. Too little you say? I don't mind. I'm contented.
